Golden Circle Tour
Okay, so it's not a great picture but I included it
because I want these lovely ladies to be part of my
blog post. I met some people who I had been
familiar with via Facebook and I met some complete
strangers and with both, I had some powerful discussions
about children.
I had been following Highway Farm activity Centre for a few years on
facebook so it was a treat to get to meet Martin. If
you're not already familiar with Highway, you can

Getting the opportunity to meet Teacher Tom was
exciting. I'm sure many of you are already familiar
with Tom but if not, you can get a closer look at his
thoughts about children, here.
Iceland's geysir (geyser) was the first one written
about in a printed source and the first one known
to modern Europeans.

Iceland is a beautiful and fascinating country. I
hope you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for taking

Flying into Iceland, I was quite surprised by the difference in landscape to anywhere I had ever been before. I didn't have a window seat, on the airplane, but I was able to have folks on both sides of the plane snap a few shots for me. In this photo, you're seeing the moss covered lava fields. You can learn more about the moss, here.
Perhaps photos taken through a bus window shouldn't qualify for a blog post but you're going to have to endure several. I enjoyed seeing Icelandic architecture especially when framed with the drastically different landscape. The churches were especially interesting to me. If you continue reading, there will be a couple more examples.

Icelanders are very serious about their belief in trolls.
I wish I would have taken pictures of the restaurants
where we ate and the hotel where we stayed but I
didn't think of it at the time. So, I just have a few photos
of the city that I took while out walking.

Our fourth day in Iceland, we ventured out to
see some amazing sights and do a little shopping,
at a handmade toy store, a wool shop, and a knife
shop.
